Well, I must say, I am pretty stoked with how these photos turned out. Usually when Ryan and I go out to shoot a blog post, we dilly dally, looking here and there for a spot. However, for this project I had a vision and lucky for me, we were able to execute it and romance my daily life (aka CalTrain) all in the same swoop.
I take CalTrain to work everyday. Some days I love it, and some days, well, I could just cry with how frustrating public transit can be #wehaveallbeenthere. Overall it is a great option for me to get to work. Especially since I have a reverse commute and usually have the train all to myself. When I used to take CalTrain to SF, we were packed in there like sardines. It was miserably hot and smelly at times. So the concept of bringing a weekend bag on the train with me so I could b-line for the airport after work is a logistical nightmare. Now that I have a reverse commute and the San Jose airport is just an 8 minute uber ride from my office, it makes it that much more tempting to plan weekend getaways – every weekend.
*yes those are lobsters on my dress. No I will not wear this dress to “Red Lobster for dinner” Ryan (conversation that happened IRL)…
So as summer comes to a close (please say I am imagining this?!?!), I am trying to squeeze in as many last minute trips as possible, leaving straight from work to maximize my time. Are you planning any last minute trips to squeeze out the last of this warm summer weather? I have a few trips planned but my next trip is to San Diego and you guessed it, I am leaving straight from work. So these pictures are not far from reality (except hopefully I will actually get on the train Friday). I can just see it now, packing up my SWISSGEAR bag onto CalTrain, rolling it through the office hallway, lifting it into the trunk of my uber and finally pushing it through the airport (the fact that I can push this suitcase is miles ahead of where I was before. These 360 degree wheels roll flawlessly).
Both suitcases pictured are so lightweight and easy to maneuver solo making them the perfect travel companion for me as I intend to haul it so many places.
