Summer dresses are a must. Summer dresses that can transition seamlessly into fall, well that is just a win all around. Throw on a pair of navy tights and boots, and I’ve got myself a perfect summer to fall transitional outfit out of this dress! Now, before I fast forward the remainder of summer, I guess I should press pause on my fall outfit planning because, well, it is still July!

This summer has been wonderful and really my first summer in the Bay Area. After summers spent in Berkeley and then San Francisco, it is safe to say, that days over 75 were minimal. In Palo Alto, almost everyday is over 75! It is glorious.

Since the weather is spectacular day in and day out, it makes spending time outside a must every weekend. I love hiking the “dish” in Palo Alto, brunching on California Avenue, and shopping at Palo Alto’s open air mall a short 30 minute walk from our on-campus housing. The Palo Alto mall is just beautiful and constantly under construction to make it that much more beautiful! One of my favorite shops at the Palo Alto mall is Banana Republic. They have killer sales, awesome promotions and a staff that is very knowledgeable about the product. Oh and the fact that Chipotle is at the mall, well, that makes it worth of a weekly stop.

PS – I have been eyeing this tote for months, and am pretty much obsessed with it. It is a perfect size to carry the essentials without over packing my purse to the point that I feel like if I were to be stranded on a desert island, I could survive off of the things in my purse 😉
