Okay. So I realize Facebook ads can be annoying. Like give me my pure news-feed filled with animals painting pictures or babies wake-boarding – please and thank you.
However, sometimes the targeted ads are spot on. Last Tuesday I saw an ad for “the two week only event!” to visit the Sonoma Lavender Barn (kudos to you Sonoma Lavender Barn – your Facebook marketing dollars were well spent!). Open only two weekends a summer to the general public, the Sonoma Lavender Barn is a beautiful escape from suburban Palo Alto into an oasis of lavender in the warm summer heat.
We arrived at the fields about 45 minutes before opening and good thing we did because there was already a crowd. As soon as we saw the fields, I felt the urge to walk up and down the perfectly aligned lavender aisles, skimming my hands across the lavender. It was quite a magical moment until I realized how many bees there were buzzing around.
PS – it is summer, so gingham is my thing. Have you found any amazing gingham pieces that I should know about? This skirt is sold out online but is still available in stores! Its on super sale!
PSS – apparently due to the crowds, they have now cancelled the second weekend open to the public
