My Favorite Outfit Combo

Since returning from our trip I have felt a significant shift in my attitude towards clothes and shopping. I now feel like I have a giant closet (because wearing your life on your back can be limiting at times) filled with so many beautiful pieces to choose from in the morning.

I have also become quite stingy when it comes to paying for things. After buying my favorite floppy hat for $3, anything over $5 seems outrageous. So naturally, shopping stateside has been a shock. Now, feel free to roll your eyes at me because yes, I only traveled for five months and lived in the US for 26 years, so yes, I am ridiculous but it does not stop me from feeling the way I do. So now I shop sale. All the sale. Oh and eBay. Anyways, Banana Republic has been having awesome sales since we returned and I bought this skirt on super sale in October for my Halloween costume.

This skirt has become a staple in my wardrobe and has become an integral part in my favorite outfit combo – an over sized sweater and skirt. I sincerely love this outfit and the fact that I got this skirt for $30 makes it all the better!

Do you have a favorite outfit combo that you love to repeat?

  1. Chelsea HI. I actually thought of you the other day. I am glad to see you back posting and looking amazing as always. A couple weeks ago I had a shopping spree at Banana Republic and got all sale items. Wish I had seen this pretty red skirt because I would have nabbed it. I got 2 pretty skirts though. Ohh and I should give one of my a-line midi skirts a try pairing them with an oversized sweater because this look is flawless and super chic.

I hope you enjoyed your 5 months traveling the world and may you always find the prettiest things on sale!

    Hugs, Ada. :-)
