Product: Dermaflash (c/o)
Happy New Year and welcome 2016 friends! 2015 was such a unique and adventurous year for Ryan and I. Traveling, getting engaged, starting a new life in Stanford and moving in together. Safe to say 2015 was a big year for us. However, I have a feeling 2016 will be even better! So THANK YOU for traveling the globe with us while we were wannabe travel bloggers and for staying with me while I find normalcy with working and commuting again.
With that said, I would love to start my blogging year off by sharing my experience with a newly launched product called Dermaflash – an in home facial exfoliant treatment.
Now, before I begin this review, I would like to acknowledge that I have never positioned myself as a beauty blogger or advocate. However, I have always been interested in all things skin care. Case in point, my old roommate owned a similar product as Dermaflash and would leave it out charging in the bathroom. I was always interested in this futuristic looking device, especially since my old roommate would always rave about how amazing her in home exfloliant was and how wonderful it made her skin feel. Naturally, I too wanted baby soft skin! So when Dermaflash approached me, I thought, “this is my chance to get baby soft skin!”
Then the holidays hit me and wham bam thankyou ma’am I was exhausted. What little routine I had was out the door and replaced with over chocolate consumption. Then after the New Year, I was home with a wide open schedule for three days. I saw my Dermaflash sitting on the bathroom counter all charged up blinking, “use me Chelsea, use me!” So I paused Nashville, pulled myself up off the couch and gave Dermaflash a try. So what did I think?
As an in home exfoliating treatment, it lives up to all its hype. You glide the Dermaflash in an arc beginning at your cheek bone exfoliating down your cheek. It is important that you hit each area once, so pay close attention when exfoliating. It removes any sort of peach fuzz and makes your skin feel so soft and radiant. In total I spent about 20 minutes washing my face with the “Prep” face wash, exfoliating and then capping the experience off with the “Soothe” serum.
Overall, I enjoyed the experience of using Dermaflash. It is easy to use and perfect for sensitive skin. I do think it is a bummer that in the $189 price tag, it only comes with 6 exfoliating edges, which translates to 6 weeks of product. That feels steep and I wish it would come with more edges. Aside from that, my Dermaflash experience was quick, easy and showed results. I look forward to seeing my old roommate and sharing with her this new skin care find.
