Location: Gracias Madre, West Hollywood
Two weekends ago, I had the pleasure of attending the most beautiful baby shower celebrating my good friend, mom-to-be Tatiana. As you can probably guess from the whimsical and feminine decor, Tatiana will be having a baby girl in early 2016 and I am eagerly awaiting her arrival!
Tatiana’s baby shower theme was “tropical flamingo,” and the theme was captured throughout every detail.
The baby shower was hosted by Tatiana’s mother, sister and grandmother at Gracias Madre, a gluten-free, vegan, Mexican restaurant based in LA and SF. Now, as you finished reading that description of the restaurant, I am sure you are thinking the same thing I thought when I first heard about the restaurant.
For such a specific restaurant, the food had to be good, right?
Well, I will jump right to the point and tell you, “yep, it is delicious!” Every creative course was delicious but I have to say the gluten free, vegan French Toast took home first prize for me! For more of Gracias Madre’s menu, check it our here!
Interested in throwing your own “tropical flamingo” themed baby shower? Here are the ingredients!
- Fresh flowers and banana leaf table runner
- Gold painted pineapples – they are REAL pineapples!
- Balloons and framed photos of flamingos and pineapples
- Hand crafted macaroon boxes
- Cake decorated with fresh flowers and topped with flamingo bought from Etsy
Every detail was so thoughtfully executed for Tatiana’s shower, from the decorations to even the restaurant choice – Gracias Madre – thank you Mom – could not have been a coincidence! The shower thrown for Tatiana was a perfect way to welcome her baby girl to this beautiful, crafty and feminine world.
