Two Piece Navy

Two Piece: Girls on Film; Shoes: Manolo Blahnik; Bralette: Aerie; Sunglasses: Prada; Earrings: Banana Republic; Bracelets: Stella&Dot, David Yurman

Last summer, I remember madly trying to find affordable two piece outfits. I was obsessed with the trend, but unfortunately, the only one I could find was a beautiful Tibi two piece that cost a cool $800 combined. That was never going to happen. I love clothes, but I also love saving. So, I patiently waited. I waited for the trend to hit the mainstream markets and I am so glad I did (and that I still like the trend a year later!).

I am glad I waited out the trend, because it brought me to this two piece outfit, which was lent to me by my good friend Tatiana. I was instantly in love with this outfit when I saw her wearing it on her Christmas card last year. I mean, how could I not love it? She is gorgeous, the photo was taken in front of the Eiffel Tower with her perfect husband and the outfit, well, it is a show stopper. I feel so grateful to be surrounded by friends who are not only wonderfully kind, generous and intelligent people, but also friends with wonderful fashion sense that do not mind me borrowing from their closets for the blog. So, thank you to the old sister I never had, Tatiana, for lending me this beautiful outfit!

    • Right?!? $800 is a bit crazy. I own a few expensive pieces (i.e the shoes in this post), but I always buy them on eBay, so I save a ton!

    • Hi Denina! So glad to be introduced to your blog today, so thank you for reaching out! Loved your beautiful embroidered bag you recently posted!

  1. I love this two piece outfit. We actually have the same thoughts. I don’t buy the latest and instead wait for it multiply and find the cheaper ones. I love your braid here as well :)

Looking forward to see more of your posts. Do you have an instagram account? Maybe we could follow each other. Let me know by leaving a comment on my blog or sending me a request. I’ll follow back :) Thanks!

  2. This navy, 2-piece organza dress is a beauty. Your braid is stunning also, Chelsea.

Thanks for your input on the blog designer. I appreciate it. I sent you an E-Mail today, also. =)

    Take Care, Ada.

    • Thank you Robin! I am glad you agree with me on the $800 being ridiculous. Looking forward to following along with your blog, love the name :)
