While in NYC, Ryan, his family and I saw Beautiful on Broadway. I always dreamed of getting dressed up to see a play on Broadway, so I took advantage of this opportunity. Beautiful was absolutely everything you could ever hope for with regards to a Broadway play. The music was amazing, the costumes perfect and wow, Carol King’s music just made you want to get up and dance!

After the play, I changed into something a little more practical for site seeing. Ryan and I then took a cab to the Gargosian Gallery. We went to see the Takashi Murakami pieces for sale. The artwork was absolutely stunning and I also enjoyed viewing the pieces because it was free to enter! Call me cheap, but everything in NYC is so expensive, so I enjoyed an early evening of free art gawking. After the Gargosian, we walked the Chelsea Highline towards the West Village. It was a perfect way to end a long day of being a tourist. Highly recommend walking the Chelsea Highline (and not just because we share a namesake!).

  1. I was so happy to see you co-host. That dress is gorgeous and the pretty blanket scarf elevates it even more. The patterns do not clash since they are in the same colors. Stunning coat also, Chelsea. =)

  2. What a gorgeous post! I found you on the Weekend Snapshots LinkUp.

I love your outfit and the plaid scarf.

I’m hosting a linkup over on my blog. Its based in the UK (Scotland, to be exact) and I wondered if you wanted to come and share your post. I’d love to have you on the linkup (runs every Monday), maybe you’ll find some new UK readers also. :) Linkups are new to the UK so I really want to try and promote it with some great bloggers that I know from US LinkUps. If you’re up for sharing your post, u can do so here – http://www.atouchoftartan.co.uk/

    • Hi Christine! Thank you so much and I am so glad you agree! I love this dress from Anthropologie and I especially loved it because it was on SALE (my favorite 4 letter word!). Also, you “turn up the beet” tote giveaway is adorable! I entered, so my fingers are crossed :) Thank you again for stopping by!

  3. I love the colours and they really suit you. I love hearing about what you get up to in NYC. My favourite City. We’ve only managed to visit twice but it is on the list again. Thank you for linking up to #StreetStyleSunday
