Brooklyn Bridge Park

Turtleneck: Gap; Puffer Coat: Cole Haan; Jeans: Joes; Shoes: Nike; Necklace: Store on Haight; Sunglasses: Prada

Do you know how hard it is to find a basic black turtleneck? Well, let me tell you, it is really hard. You can find them in sweater form, but just a basic black knit, man, it was ridiculous. However, there is an alternative scenario to turtlenecks being difficult to find and it goes something like this, “no one likes them and they are completely off trend.” Well, please, tell me, what do you think about turtlenecks? Am I completely off base with my love for turtlenecks? Should I say “turtleneck,” a couple more times just to hit the idea home? ….turtleneck….

Anyways, Ryan, his dad and I walked from our rented apartment in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, to the Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was a brisk, cold morning, so I bundled up, threw on my running shoes, and off we went. It took about 40 minutes to walk to the park. It was wonderful getting to see Brooklyn on its morning commute to work. Once we reached the park, we were cold to the bone. I think I did a few jumping jacks here to get my blood flowing. Once I was a little warmer, I was so happy to be there and really enjoy the view.

  1. Lovely all-black outfit! :)

I’m not a fan of turtlenecks! I used to wear them a lot when I was younger but they always felt so itchy on my neck haha! I prefer normal tops and scarves to keep my neck cosy in winter :)

I think no matter what’s trendy, if you like it wear it! Although it does make it harder to find something you like if it’s not a current trendy piece. What’s trendy changes so frequently though you’re sure to be able to stock up on pieces soon! :)

  2. I go up and down on the turtle=necks but you are so correct so hard to find the one you are looking for. I heard the Old Navy ones are pretty great. Thanks for joining my link up and I hope to see you Thursday

  3. Really love this simple and chic outfit – the jacket is perfect for winter fashion and to pair it up with trainers gives it a fun, casual but on trend look – perfection. Hope you can join in with Street Style Sunday linky again this week
