New York. People have always said they love New York but until recently, I never really held it in such high regard. I just did not understand why people were SO obsessed with New York. Well, now I get it…

Ryan’s family and I headed east right after Christmas to attend his cousin’s son’s baptism. Luckily for me, the day of the baptism was the warmest day of our vacation. While packing, I had a difficult time deciding what to wear to the baptism. I had not been to a baptism since I was little, so I googled, “baptism dress,” and what I found was, well, a little stuffy. The general consensus was demure, feminine and covered. So I decided on this beautiful white dress. However, before I settled on this dress, I checked that it was OKAY to wear white to a baptism and it is! I decided to pair this dress with my Mimi’s vintage coat. I knew there was a potential for freezing weather but luckily for me, the weather Gods were on my side and it was 58 degrees that day. So hooray for me! Not so much for global warming…
