Okay, be honest, are you a lookie loo? Because I certainly am. I LOVE open houses on the weekend, I love seeing how other people decorate, and I love imagining how nice life would be if I had a dishwasher but I digress. Anyways, now that I have established that I am indeed a lookie loo, let me tell you George Washington had style and he and Martha certainly did not shy away from color. Rooms in Mount Vernon are neon green, tiffany blue and sunflower yellow. Our founding father and Martha had style.

Unfortunately, as a tourist, you are not allowed to take photos inside Mount Vernon, so if you want to see more, click here!

  1. I love looking at model homes too, they always have the cutest decor and great decorating ideas :) Mount Vernon is gorgeous! You are right about that! Looks so pretty in the fall though.
Love your look here, especially those cords! Too cute. Glad I found you today on the Living In Color link up. I will for sure follow you.

  2. GOrgeous! My daughter was just there this week for a field trip! It’s beautiful inside. I love the grounds by the water too.

Thanks for linking up at Whatcha Wearing Wednesday!

  3. Oooh I love Mt Vernon! I haven’t been in a long time, but I do remember the rooms being so pretty and fancy. I also remember seeing sheep sheared, which was super cool. This is such a great outfit for a day at Mount Vernon – the color of those pants is awesome!
