One of the reasons I was able to spend a week in DC was that I work in very flexible work environment. As long as I get my work done, by the deadline, I am able to work where ever I want. As much as I love this flexibility, my preference is always to be in the office. I love my office mates, past (working for a great company means friends are poached all the time, womp womp) and present (only these office mates would sing Frozen with me or play Miley for me when I need a pick me up). So, whenever I work remotely it lacks the sense of comfort and fun that I have grown accustom to in the office but the opportunity to work during the day and play tourist at night, is unbeatable. I am so grateful to work for a company that values hard work and rewards its employees with work-life balance.
When I packed my Banana Republic faux fur vest I was so excited to wear it. Little did I know how difficult it would be to travel with. Pro-tip, either pack light so you do not have to smoosh this gorgeous piece, or do not bring it. I was so concerned I was going to zip the faux fur up, or somehow make all the faux fur go wonky directions because I packed poorly. So moral of the story, I need to think about the practicality of my purchases and their ability to travel.
